Eating at the Bouchon D'orb is one of my most surprising and favourite dining experiences. We were staying a gite in nearby Joncelets and and didn't want to cook after a long MTB ride in the local hills. After after an evening walk around the town, we were made to feel very welcome, and as it was still warm sat outside under the trees, listening to the locals, and just soaking up the atmosphere, and as the sun set, watched the bats fly around the square and jackdaws coming to roost in the trees. The food was wonderful - roasted red partridge, and their signature Creme Brule with Honey for pudding. The local red wine was a good match, I even bought a bottle home with us to England. If only it wasn't so far from home, we'd go back.
